Scope
The SMILE project aims to address the Leonardo Da Vinci call priority:
"Developing relevant and innovative e-learning content"

The SMILE main objectives are:

To improve access to continuing vocational training and the lifelong acquisition of skills and competencies with a view to increasing and developing adaptability, particulary in order to
consolidate technological and organisational change

By exploiting widely used technologies (such as wireless access to e-Services) for new paradigms of vocational training that respond to emerging technological (that is, extensive use of mobile technology in working environment)
and organizational (that is, adoption of new working/employment models) changes.

To promote and reinforce the contribution of vocational training to the process of innovation, with a view to improving competitiveness and entrepreneurship, also in view of new employment possibilities

|
By enforcing reusability, accessibility and interoperability of the training resources and strategies.
|
|
 |
To improve the skills and competences of people, especially young people, in initial vocational training at all levels, with a view to facilitating their integration and reintegration to the labour market
|

|
By addressing the educational needs of young people communities with considerable mobility both nationally and at European level who can benefit from mobile vocational training towards their effort to enter the European Labour Market.
